Biography

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and later lived a major portion of my life in Southern California. My parents were supportive of my interests and guitar lessons began at an early age and much in vain until I was exposed to the music of Jimi Hendrix. At 10 years old I began immersing myself in the music of Eric Clapton, Alvin Lee and anyone else that was lighting the fires of creativity with the guitar. I was fortunate enough to study with some of the very best: Jerry Conderato, Von Lofsted and jazz greats William Clydesdale and Joe Negri. Days involving 10+ hours of practice were not uncommon and all of these influences contributed to who I am as a guitarist today. I've played many studio sessions and as frontman in a variety of projects. My long journey has  led me to encounters with such wonderful people as Roy Buchanan, Amy Grant, Will Lee, Chet Atkins and many others and I am so very grateful and humbled by the experience. My recently released cd entitled "Night" addresses some musical ideas I've wanted to express for awhile. In addition to my music I am a runner. Running several miles daily and training for races helps me push my playing further and my playing helps me push my body and mind to greater limits. I will never give up striving to live life at the highest
possible level.
